LPG, CNG & LNG training requirements for Accreditation
Any person applying for LPG accreditation after 1 January 2016 who has acceptable trade qualifications* must have completed the following competencies and are the minimum training requirements for accreditation:
AURTTL3009 Install LPG Fuel Systems
AURTTL3008 Diagnose and Repair LPG Fuel Systems
AURTTL3007 Service LPG Fuel Systems
These competencies are from the nationally accredited training AUR32012 - Certificate III in Automotive Alternative Fuel Technology
Any applicant submitting an application for LPG accreditation who has previously completed the Liquid Petroleum Gas Tuning, Maintenance and Installation Course – TAFE Stream No 4200 EKF or the following modules from AUR 30605, Certificate 111 in Automotive Specialist- Gas Vehicle
AURT304231A Install LPG Fuel Systems
AURT304266A Repair LPG Fuel Systems
AURT304270A Service LPG Fuel Systems
will be required to re-sit the current recognised training.
CNG
Any person applying for CNG accreditation after 1 January 2016 who has acceptable trade qualifications* must have completed the following competencies and are the minimum training requirements for accreditation:
AURTTL3003 Install CNG Fuel Systems
AURTTL3002 Diagnose and Repair CNG Fuel Systems
AURTTL3001 Service CNG Fuel Systems
These competencies are from the nationally accredited training AUR32012 - Certificate III in Automotive Alternative Fuel Technology
Any applicant submitting an application for CNG accreditation who has previously completed the following modules from AUR 30605, Certificate 111 in Automotive Specialist- Gas Vehicle

LNG
Any person applying for LNG accreditation after 1 January 2016 who has acceptable trade qualifications* must have completed the following competencies and are the minimum training requirements for accreditation:

AURTTL3005 Diagnose and Repair LNG Fuel Systems
AURTTL3004 Service LNG Fuel Systems

will be required to re-sit the current recognised training.
*The following Australian trade qualifications are acceptable to the AAFRB.
Certificate of Completion of Apprenticeship
· Motor Mechanic
· Auto electrician
· Diesel Mechanic
· Heavy Stream Mechanic
· Automotive Specialist- Gas Vehicle
· VACC Motor Mechanic
· IAME Associate / Member
· Australian trades recognition certificate - Motor Mechanic
Applicants who do not have an acceptable trade qualification must complete AUR32012 - Certificate III in Automotive Alternative Fuel Technology.
The training course must be completed with a duly authorised training provider and the training provider must provide proof of completion.
